A Steadfast Advocate

I am so proud to be casting my vote this election season for my friend, neighbor, and state senator, Christine Cohen (D-12).

Christine has been a steadfast advocate for our community and Connecticut at large. As a mother of three and a small business owner, she already has two full-time jobs on her plate, but that does not stop her from being an energetic and knowledgeable elected official.

As a legislator, she works tirelessly to create comprehensive and informed laws. As an elected leader, her office works around the clock to her constituents navigate the ins and outs of state programs and assistance. It is so important to have leadership that really works for the people, especially in such trying times. Christine is not afraid to roll up her sleeves and find hands-on solutions to the problems that we face here in Guilford.

Christine is a champion for the people. As a freshman legislator, Christine co-sponsored 21 bills, co-chaired the Environment Committee, and created the bipartisan Coastal Caucus, dedicated to protecting our shoreline environment, combat gun violence, strengthen our small business conditions, and create vital protections for people with pre-existing conditions.

Throughout the turmoil our country is facing, it has been an incredible source of relief to know that in our great state we have competent and conscientious leadership that will continue to keep Connecticut healthy. Christine has proven she is up to the challenge.

I look forward to another term of her representation. I hope your readers will join me in voting to let Sean Scanlon in the Connecticut House of Representatives and Christine Cohen in the State Senate continue to represent us.
