Those in the know in Clinton have waited years for this news: Texas transplant Mari Lee is bringing her authentic take on border food to Pica Chica Tacos, with a grand opening set for Friday, Dec. 4. My spouse and I had a tough time picking favorites at a recent soft opening. The opening menu features those tacos—shredded Guajillo beef (her fave), pork al pastor (mine), and so much more. Open Fridays to Sundays for delivery or take-out (phone orders only, no walkups), the Pica Chica Tacos truck is parked out front of the always-excellent Chow Food and Beverage Co. at 36 Killingworth Turnpike, Clinton, just down the road from Clinton Crossing. Get more info at www.picachicatacos.com and order at 860-552-6916 or shorelinemenus.com.
