Dean’s List

• Rachel Card and Samantha Konspore of North Haven were named to the University of Delaware’s Dean’s List for the Spring 2019 semester.

• Olivia Franco, Rachel Kelly, and Ashton Waldron of North Haven were named to the spring 2019 Dean’s List at Roger Williams University, in Bristol, Rhode Island.

• Christiana Lano of North Haven was named to the Dean’s List for the Spring 2019 semester at Tufts University in Massachusetts. Dean’s list students at Tufts University must have a semester grade point average of 3.4 or greater.

• The following North Haven students were named to the Dean’s List at the University of New Haven in West Haven for the spring 2019 semester:

Honor Roll

• The following North Haven students were named to the Mercy High School Third Quarter Honor Roll for the 2018-’19 school year: Sierra Vollero, 2020-Honors; and Lily Zeffiro, 2020-High Honors.

Awards and Honors

• David Michael Cifarelli of North Haven was honored with the Crown and Shield Award at Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts. Cifarelli graduated with a dual major of English/writing/mass communications and Italian studies, and a minor in community service learning. Faculty, staff, and administration nominate Crown and Shield recipients for their exemplary service and leadership.

• Mary Sarah Olson of North Haven was awarded the 4.0 Gold Tassel Scholar by the Sacred Heart Academy in Hamden, Connecticut, for holding a cumulative four-year minimum average of 4.0. Following tradition, Olson wore golden tassels during graduation ceremonies in May. In addition, Olson was presented with the Blessed Clelia Merloni Award, named after the founder of the Apostles of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The award is given to the senior who consistently exemplifies the three hallmarks of the Apostles of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, which are love, service, and reparation, and best demonstrates the charism and vision of Blessed Clelia Merloni and the Apostles. The award is one of only two presented each year at commencement. Olson plans to enroll at Fairfield University.

• Katrishia Bell of North Haven was presented with the Geomorphology Research Recognition Award by the Department of Environmental Earth Science at Eastern Connecticut State University at its annual year-end celebration in May. During the event, students are recognized for their work and excellence in the environmental earth science program.

• Maria Elaine Ricci of North Haven was named to the President’s List for Spring 2019 at Campbellsville University in Kentucky. Students in the President’s List achieve a 4.0 grade point average.

• Christina Ellis of North Haven was awarded the TOMRA scholarship. Ellis will be a senior at the University of New England studying medical biology. Every year, TOMRA’s Scholarship Award is presented to students who exhibit outstanding academic credentials in their chosen field of study and are involved in extracurricular or community service activities.

• Richard Haney of North Haven graduated in May with a B.S. in medical laboratory sciences from the University of Vermont.

• Colin Ciszewski and Colin Uyeki of North Haven both graduated in May with a B.A. in neuroscience and behavior from Wesleyan University in Middletown.

• Dominic Fusco of North Haven graduated with distinction in May with a B.S. in electrical and computer engineering from the Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts.
