Reds Take the 9-U Title for East Shore Fall Ball

The Shoreline Reds baseball team recently won the championship in the 9-U Division for East Shore Fall Ball Travel League. The Reds, who are based out of Branford, finished with a record of 13-1-1 for the 2019 season. They played Westport in the league semifinals and won via the mercy rule by a 10-2 score in four innings to advance to the championship. In the championship game, the Reds faced the 2nd-seeded Shoreline Breakers and earned a 17-7, mercy-rule victory to take the league title.

The players on the Shoreline Reds are Owen Andrews, Kevin Barbero, Brady Benigni, Koby Benigni, Ryan Butti, Jay Chacon, Tanner DeFelice, Liam Gallagher, Alex Iafrate, Cooper Knowlton, Bryce Levchuk, Peyton Swanson, and Nick Vigliotti.

Todd DeFelice is the head coach of the Reds. The team’s assistant coaches are Kevin Barbero, John Benigni, and John Knowlton.
