One for the Home Team in Branford

The United Methodist Church in Branford held a Souper Bowl of Caring, which is a national movement working to fight hunger and poverty in the community, on Feb. 6 in the church parking lot. This was a contact-free canned soup collection event, with monetary donations collected in two pots—one for the Buccaneers and one for the Chiefs. All money collected supports local food pantries. The volunteers gave out bowls of chili and a box of goodies.
