High Nine Brewery bartender Spencer Waldron pours a draft. The brewery is named after Waldron who lost a finger in his youth. He's known for giving high nines rather than a hgh fives.

The High Nine Brewery opened their doors mid- November 2019.  They offer a diverse tap list and are open Wednesdays through Sundays.

The rainy weather didnþÄôt stop the festivities at the annual Holiday Stroll and Light Parade in downtown Deep River on Saturday, December 14, 2019. There was a tree lighting, parade, caroling, free cookies and hot chocolate, open shops and restaurants with specials and treats, fire performers, a find the Holiday Moose Contest, and a meet and greet with Santa. A Water Lantern Celebration was held Saturday evening at Plattwood Park in Deep River with food, live music, a campfire, and the launching of hand decorated floating lanterns, with proceeds going to benefit A Little Compassion (ALC) a non-profit seeking to change the lives of young adults with autism, or intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Valley Girls’ Soccer Grabs Win Against Westbrook

Deep River held its 25th Annual Deep River Family Day Saturday September 21st.  A variety of special events were on hand throughout the day.  A mile fun run started the day followed by a 5K to the river and back. A carnival, music, wagon rides, orphan car show, birds of prey demonstration and many town merchants are just some of the many activities.  

The firework show planned  at Plattwood Park is being rescheduled after the first frost to protect against mosquitoes and EEE.  For info, visit deepriverct.us.

The Fifth Annual Mad HatterþÄôs Garden Party was held Friday July 26th at the Deep River Library.  The event featured a teapot auction, food, drinks, music by Butter Jones and festive hats.  The benefit helps support the library garden and grounds.

The 2019 Deep River Ancient Muster was held June 19th and 20th. A parade of 47 fife and drum corps stepped down Main street Saturday commencing at Devitt Field. The muster is one of the oldest and largest gathering of fife and drum participants.
