Additions and Promotions

James “Jim” Parker has joined Essex Savings Bank as a vice president and trust officer. Prior to joining Essex Trust, Parker was a senior fiduciary advisory specialist with a large national bank. In that role he was responsible for managing complex trust relationships including the management of several large private foundations. Additionally, he has assisted individuals and families with reviewing estate planning documents and working with attorneys to draft and execute their plan. Parker received his B.A. from Southern Connecticut State University and a J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law.


Lori Stetz, MD, MPH of Essex has been named to the Make-A-Wish Connecticut Board of Directors. Stetz is a physician executive with more than 15 years of experience in primary and global population health. As senior medical director for Aetna, a CVS Health business, Stetz provides medical leadership for Aetna’s International business, which covers nearly one million members in 190 countries.

Awards and Recognitions

Aaron Manor and Nursing Rehabilitation Center in Chester received the Pinnacle Quality Insight’s 2019 Customer Experience Award in the category Professional Therapy for Rehabilitation Services.

Connecticut Chapter of ASLA Announces 2019 Connecticut Landscape Architecture Awards

Anne Penniman Associates, LLC, of Essex was recognized by the Connecticut Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects at its annual Connecticut Professional Awards. The firm won a Merit Award for Landscape Architectural Design-Residential for its project Cabin in the Woods in Harpswell, Maine.
