Anthony L. Mazzetta
Anthony L. Mazzetta, 77, of North Haven passed away on Sept. 2, at his home. He was the beloved husband of 50 years to Mary Jane Smittner Mazzetta. Anthony was born in New Haven Oct. 21, 1943, the son of the late Fiore and Geda F. Morro Mazzetta.
He was so proud to have served his country faithfully in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam war and always had a passion for military history. Anthony was the owner and operator of Redwood Furniture Refinishing. His enjoyments were refinishing, restoring, and dealing antiques; deep sea fishing; bowling; and playing checkers. Anthony’s family was his everything and he loved them all unconditionally, especially his grandson Anthony.
He was the father of Jennifer Dahill; father-in-law of Brenden Dahill, with whom he held a close bond; and grandfather of Anthony and Cole Ansaldo. He was predeceased by his brother Richard Mazzetta.
The visiting hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 7, at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. Military honors will be rendered at 7 p.m. in the funeral.
