Karen Isaacs has been reviewing theater for longer than wants to remember. She is a founding member of the Connecticut Critics Circle and a member of New York's Outer Critics Circle. In addition to writing for Shore Publications, her reviews appear at 2ontheaisle.wordpress.com, www.ctcritics.org and on WNHU (88.7fm) She also DJs the “Memory Lane” program on Mondays from 8 to 10 a.m.
Karen remembers her first theatrical experience at the age of 5. She’s been a theater lover since and a performer. She is currently a practitioner in residence at the University of New Haven where she is full time instructor in communication, journalism and media studies.
She is also a performer and singer including stints with various Gilbert & Sullivan groups and the original Cabaret Theater at Sacred Heart University. She currently studies and performs with the Cabaret Performance Class at the Neighborhood Music School under the tutelage of Anne Tofflemeir.
