Westbrook Girls’ Basketball Takes Defeat at Valley Regional

Members of the Old Saybrook Lions Club, the Valley Shore  YMCA, Old Saybrook Youth and Family Services with the help of the Connecticut Food Bank, Old Saybrook LionþÄôs Club, Valley Shore YMCA, Old Saybrook Social Services, Connecticut Dental Health Partnerships, came together in the parking lot of St. MarkþÄôs Church, Westbrook for Social Services Help Day volunteering for a Community-wide Food Distribution 10 a.m. to noon. Volunteers carried bags of food, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and dental supplies, and placed them in the cars as they drove up. Sydney Liggett greeted the cars as they approached.

Members of the Westbrook Boy Scout Troop 38 pick-up Christmas trees to be recycled as a troop fundraising activity. Proceeds benefit the troop activities throughout the year.

Westbrook Emblem Club 535 hosted its annual Wine, Beer, and Martini Tasting at the Westbrook Elks Lodge on Friday, November 8, 2019. There were also light refreshments and raffle prizes donated by local businesses. The Emblem Club gives back to the community by doing charitable work and are always looking for members. The event was sponsored by Westbrook Emblem Club 535 and Seaside Wines. Proceeds from the event benefit local charities and scholarship programs.
